PUTRAJAYA: The Federal Court will hear the prosecution’s appeal against the acquittal of Samirah Muzaffar, widow of Cradle Fund CEO Nazrin Hassan, and two teenagers over his 2018 murder from Jan 5 to 9, 2026.
The three were discharged in 2022 after the High Court found no prima facie case. The Court of Appeal upheld the acquittal in February 2024, citing insufficient evidence that the fire was deliberate and flaws in petrol analysis by investigators. A fourth accused, an Indonesian woman, remains at large. The hearing was earlier postponed from November.
