On April 8, 2025, PETRONAS Gas Berhad (PGB) announced a fire incident at its main pipeline near Puchong, affecting gas transportation services in the Central Zone, including Shah Alam, Klang, Puchong, and Batu Tiga.
This disruption impacts approximately 7% of the total gas volume committed to the Gas Shipper’s customers. PGB is collaborating with authorities and the Shipper to implement mitigation measures to ensure supply security and restore pipeline services.
The full financial impact of the incident will be determined after an investigation, expected to conclude in May 2025. This follows earlier announcements made on April 1 and April 7, 2025.
