F&NHB Launches Regional Halal Handbook to Strengthen Assurance

F&NHB launches Regional Halal Handbook to harmonise standards across operations, reinforcing assurance, compliance, and consumer trust regionally.

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 29, 2026, Fraser & Neave Holdings Bhd (F&NHB) has launched its F&N Group Regional Halal Handbook at the World Halal Business Conference (WHBC) 2026, held during the Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS). The initiative marks a milestone in the group’s commitment to strengthening Halal assurance across its regional operations.

The launch was officiated by representatives from F&NHB, Halal Development Corporation (HDC), Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia (JAKIM), and the Central Islamic Council of Thailand (CICOT). Developed by F&NHB’s Halal Affairs Department in collaboration with HDC, the handbook consolidates Halal principles from JAKIM, Indonesia’s BPJPH, and CICOT, alongside international standards.

Designed as a practical reference, the handbook establishes a common framework for managing Halal requirements across F&N’s 12 manufacturing facilities in Malaysia and Thailand, covering sourcing, production, storage, distribution, training, documentation, audits, and continuous improvement.

CEO-designate Tarang Gupta said Halal is “not simply a certification requirement, but a responsibility embedded across operations and supply chains.” HDC’s Chief Commercial Officer Mohd Zamulud Awang Kechik praised the initiative for embedding Halal into sourcing, production, and distribution, reinforcing consumer trust.

F&NHB, which began its Halal certification journey in 2004, now operates fully Halal-certified facilities, supported by internal audits, training, and strict compliance with Toyyiban principles.
