Fortinet has expanded its SASE Points-of-Presence (POPs) in partnership with Google Cloud to enhance its Universal SASE solution.
This expansion leverages Google Cloud’s global network edge locations, providing dedicated interconnects and high service availability, and enables Fortinet to better serve its global customer base. The solution converges networking and security to support hybrid workforces, ensuring secure access to applications and a zero-trust security posture.
“By leveraging Google Cloud, Fortinet Universal SASE is even better positioned to serve a more extensive global footprint, ensuring that customers can seamlessly connect and secure their hybrid workforces to critical applications,” says Michael Xie, Founder, President, and Chief Technology Officer of Fortinet.

“This partnership will expand our global POP resources and accelerate customer adoption of Fortinet’s solution. And because our SD-WAN solution is natively integrated with our offering, Fortinet’s global SD-WAN customers now have an even broader ability to easily adopt integrated cloud-delivered security.”
On the other hand, Muninder Sambi, Vice President and GM of Networking at Google Cloud says organizations worldwide rely on the Google Cloud for critical networking and access.
The partnership aims to improve the digital user experience, lower costs, and deliver comprehensive cloud-delivered security to Fortinet’s global SD-WAN customers. The goal is to provide a seamless and secure connection for organizations worldwide.
