KUALA LUMPUR, June 2 – The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) revealed that RM20 million in sukuk funds for a Klang Valley highway project was misused for gambling. MACC chief Tan Sri Azam Baki said 300 bottles of premium liquor were found in a storeroom, linked to money laundering. Assets worth RM85.6 million, including luxury vehicles, watches, and properties, were seized. The Tan Sri suspect is hospitalized, with 45 witnesses’ statements recorded.
