Generali Malaysia launches GROW 2026 to support Malaysian insurtech, healthtech and medtech startups through mentorship, workshops, partnerships and investment readiness.
Generali Malaysia has launched its first accelerator programme, the Generali Growth & Innovation Programme (GROW 2026), aimed at supporting Malaysia’s growing insurance, health and protection ecosystem.
Developed exclusively for the Malaysian market, GROW 2026 will support local insurtech, healthtech and medtech startups, as well as adjacent technologies and innovations with demonstrable insurance outcomes.
Fabrice Benard, Chief Executive Officer of Generali Insurance Malaysia Berhad and Country Head of Generali Entities in Malaysia, said the programme reflects Generali Malaysia’s commitment to working closely with startups to address challenges facing the insurance industry.
The programme is developed with the support of Artem PACE, whose accelerator expertise helped shape GROW 2026. Generali Malaysia said the initiative is designed to provide startups with practical support beyond conventional accelerator programmes.
Selected startups will gain direct access to Generali Malaysia’s leaders, alongside structured mentorship and opportunities to strengthen product-market fit, develop commercial partnerships and improve investment readiness.
Throughout the programme, participating startups will take part in workshops and receive strategic guidance from ecosystem and industry leaders. Key areas of focus will include understanding the insurance value chain, refining products and technologies, strengthening go-to-market strategies, and enhancing compliance and governance processes.
The programme will also help startups improve their financial planning and fundraising capabilities as they prepare for commercialisation and potential investment opportunities.
GROW 2026 will conclude with a Demo Day, where shortlisted startups will pitch their businesses to Generali Malaysia and a selected panel of judges appointed for the programme. Top-performing teams will receive cash prizes, providing non-dilutive funding to support their continued growth.
Generali Malaysia expects participating startups to emerge with stronger value propositions, deeper industry relationships and improved readiness to commercialise their solutions and attract investment.
