Inside Scoop Unites Nine Malaysian Brands in Lokal Legends 2026
KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 10, 2026 — Inside Scoop has launched its biggest Lokal Legends campaign yet, uniting nine of Malaysia’s most beloved homegrown brands into limited-edition ice cream collaborations. The annual celebration, now a staple in the local food scene, reimagines nostalgic flavours Malaysians grew up with.
Among the highlights are Beryl’s Tiramisu Almond Chocolate, BOH’s Teh Tarik, Farm Fresh Pistachio Yoghurt Crunch, and Gardenia Choc-A-Lot Twiggies. Other collaborations include Mister Potato Choc Chips N’ Cream, Oriental Kopi Kaya Butter Toast, Secret Recipe Chocolate Indulgence, Thumbs Peanut Butter Jelly, and ZUS Coffee Ube Latté.
Inside Scoop co-founder Edmund Tan said Lokal Legends has grown into a campaign Malaysians eagerly anticipate each year. “Malaysians have a strong connection with local brands. These are the flavours we grew up with, celebrated milestones with, and shared with family and friends,” he noted.
Collaborating brands echoed the sentiment. Oriental Kopi praised the campaign for keeping culinary heritage alive, while Secret Recipe highlighted its much-loved Chocolate Indulgence ice cream. ZUS Coffee expressed excitement at bringing its popular Ube flavour into a scoop.
This year’s campaign takes inspiration from supermarkets — the everyday home of these brands. To mark the launch, Inside Scoop transformed its Galeria SA Sentral outlet into a “Lokal Legends Supermarket,” complete with brand aisles, sampling stations, and storytelling corners.
