Intel CEO Addresses Staff Amid Scrutiny, Reaffirms Commitment to U.S. Leadership and Company’s Mission
August 8, 2025 – Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan has issued a heartfelt message to employees in response to recent media reports surrounding his past affiliations, reaffirming his dedication to the company’s mission, values, and the United States.
In the internal note sent to all Intel employees, Tan acknowledged the swirl of attention regarding his previous roles at Walden International and Cadence Design Systems. While dismissing the allegations as misinformation, he firmly stated that throughout his 40-year career in the technology industry, he has operated with the “highest legal and ethical standards.”
“My reputation has been built on trust — on doing what I say I’ll do, and doing it the right way. This is the same way I am leading Intel,” Tan wrote.
Tan also emphasized his deep ties to the U.S., having lived in the country for over four decades. He described leading Intel as “the honor of [his] career” and stressed the company’s critical role in U.S. national security, economic strength, and technological leadership.
Addressing concerns, Tan assured employees that Intel is actively engaging with the U.S. Administration to ensure all facts are clearly understood, while reiterating his alignment with the President’s priorities on national and economic security.
“The Board is fully supportive of the work we are doing to transform our company,” he added, pointing to Intel’s upcoming milestone — the ramp-up to high-volume manufacturing using the country’s most advanced semiconductor process technology later this year.
Tan concluded by encouraging the team to stay focused, highlighting Intel’s immense opportunity ahead: “Our mission is clear, and our opportunity is enormous. I’m proud to be on this journey with you.”
The statement aims to calm internal concerns and affirm leadership continuity as Intel navigates scrutiny and continues its transformation efforts in the competitive global semiconductor landscape.
