Petaling Jaya, 9 October 2025 – ISP Group of Companies, a property company that specialises in the Logistics Warehouses and Manufacturing Hub (LWMH) and Purpose-Built Workers Accommodations (PBWA) segments, brought smiles and a brighter vision to 49 children at Rumah Hope, Petaling Jaya, through a meaningful Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative focused on eye health.
The children, aged between 6 and 19, underwent comprehensive eye screenings conducted by optometrists from the Tun Hussein Onn National Eye Hospital in collaboration with St. John Ambulance Malaysia, Selangor. Using an auto refractor machine, the tests covered vision, colour blindness, and general eye health, while advanced checks were carried out with a slit lamp.
As part of ISP’s commitment to supporting children’s health and well-being, children identified with vision issues will be provided with corrective glasses free-of-charge.
Eric Ng, Founder and Group Chief Executive Officer of ISP Holding Sdn Bhd, said, “Eye health plays a crucial role in a child’s development, impacting their learning ability, social interactions, and overall confidence. By identifying and addressing vision problems early, ISP hopes to give the children of Rumah Hope a stronger foundation to excel in school and in life”.
The event was more than just a health initiative. ISP also organised fun activities, including games and a colouring session, and sponsored lunch and desserts to create a warm, joyful experience for the children.
As part of the day’s activities, goodie bags were handed out to the children by Eric Ng. Optometrists from the Tun Hussein Onn National Eye Hospital and Tuan Lim Wun Lok, State Commander of St. John Ambulance Malaysia, Selangor Darul Ehsan, were also present to support the initiative.
This initiative builds on ISP’s wider CSR framework, Nourish with Hope, ISP Cares!, which was recently recognised at the Sustainability & CSR Malaysia Awards 2025. The programme continues to evolve from food aid to education, health, and community resilience initiatives, reflecting ISP’s holistic approach to making a lasting social impact.
“Our responsibility as a company extends beyond our business. It is about uplifting lives and building brighter futures. This initiative reflects our commitment to care for the communities around us, especially children who deserve every opportunity to thrive,” said Eric Ng.
ISP intends to expand this CSR effort by reaching out to other homes and children in need of similar support, ensuring the programme’s positive impact continues to grow.
