MACC Probes RM80 Million Felda Palong 7 Replanting Project

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 29, 2026 — The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has opened an investigation into alleged irregularities involving an RM80 million oil palm replanting project at Felda Palong 7 in Jempol, Negri Sembilan.

According to sources, MACC is reviewing at least five documents submitted by Pertubuhan Badan Bertindak Generasi Palong (Perbagi), including formal complaints, supply agreements, and photographic evidence showing the height of seedlings provided. Investigators are focusing on whether the seedlings met stipulated specifications and requirements.

MACC chief commissioner Datuk Seri Abd Halim Aman confirmed that an investigation paper has been opened and the information received is being examined. The probe follows concerns over the quality of seedlings supplied to Felda settlers and the long-term impact on their income.

The Malaysian Palm Oil Board has also been instructed to look into the matter. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim previously called for weaknesses in Felda’s management to be addressed, stressing that shortcomings must be rectified and followed by firm action to strengthen governance.

Forensic teams reportedly found evidence suggesting the seedlings failed to meet standards, raising fears of reduced yields and financial strain for settlers. Investigations remain ongoing.
