KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 24 — A former Cabinet minister from the pre-Covid-19 era is currently under investigation by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
MACC chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki confirmed the development to Bernama today, revealing that a new investigation paper has been opened against the individual.
“Yes, the investigation is ongoing, and several key individuals will be summoned to assist,” he said.
Sources indicate the ex-minister, who has faced prior corruption charges in court, is being probed over alleged embezzlement involving the transfer of high-value government land to a major property developer during his tenure in a ministry.
