MACC Continues Questioning James Chai Over RM1.11 Billion Project

The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) is continuing to record statements from James Chai, former aide to Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli, in connection with investigations into a RM1.11 billion semiconductor project. Sources confirmed Chai attended MACC headquarters in Putrajaya for a second day on April 29, arriving at 10am and released at 6.45pm.

He is expected to return for further questioning on April 30. MACC previously issued notices after Chai failed to attend earlier sessions, citing flight costs and work commitments. The commission has already taken statements from 17 witnesses, including officers from the Economic Ministry and MIDA.
