Maxim Marks Independence Month with Patriotism

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 4, 2026, Maxim Malaysia celebrated the nation’s 69th National Day with a series of inclusive, community-focused initiatives throughout August, highlighting patriotism, unity and togetherness. The e-hailing company participated in the Kembara Merdeka Jalur Gemilang 2026 across Sabah, supported a CSR programme with the Tawau Association of the Deaf, and joined Pahang’s main Merdeka Parade in Kuantan.

In Sabah, Maxim partnered with JAPEN to journey across multiple districts, engaging schools, community halls and local events with awareness sessions, quizzes, donations and meetings with local leaders. Director Mohd Hazwan Musley said, “Maxim is proud to be part of Kembara Merdeka Jalur Gemilang 2026. Our contribution of ride promo codes is a small way to share the Merdeka spirit with communities we serve.” JAPEN Sabah Director Puan Jainisah Mohd Noor added that Maxim’s mobility support helped reach diverse communities across the state.

In Tawau, Maxim collaborated with the Tawau Association of the Deaf, providing school materials to 94 students and hosting interactive activities. Head of Tawau, Rizwan Azwanshah, said, “Supporting these students in their education is one small way for us to show that we care and that their future matters.”

In Kuantan, Maxim joined the Merdeka Parade with partner-drivers and families. Head of Kuantan, Muhammad Hasif Faiz, said, “Participating in the parade is our way of showing love for Malaysia while strengthening our connection with the community.”
