Malaysia’s rising influence in sustainability

The ACES Awards 2024 celebrated Malaysia’s rising influence in sustainability, innovation, and community empowerment, with 110 Malaysian nominations among 682 entries from 17 countries. Out of 250 finalists, 59 outstanding leaders and 34 visionary companies were recognized for their contributions to responsible growth and sustainability in Asia.

Leadership Excellence: Dato’ Indera Mahmud Bin Mohd Nawawi of Yayasan Pahang was celebrated for transforming the foundation into a self-sustaining entity benefiting Pahang through education, healthcare, and environmental initiatives.

Organizations like Yayasan Bank Rakyat (YBR) and Sarawak Energy showcased transformative CSR projects, while companies such as Pos Malaysia Berhad and Air Selangor set benchmarks in environmental responsibility through green initiatives and climate resilience.

Healthcare Impact

Subang Jaya Medical Centre led with rural surgery programs and cervical cancer awareness campaigns, ensuring equitable healthcare access.

Infrastructure Leadership: Dhaya Maju Infrastructure, Pacific Inter-Link, and Vista Infinity Development demonstrated innovative strategies in engineering, supply chains, and national security.

These efforts collectively highlight Malaysia’s commitment to merging economic vitality, community well-being, and environmental stewardship, shaping a sustainable future for the region.
