Six Malaysian Students to Compete in 2024 FedEx Regional Finals
FedEx announced the six winners of the 2024 FedEx/Junior Achievement International Trade Challenge (FedEx/JA ITC) Malaysia Finals, who will advance to the regional finals in Singapore this August. The winners are:
Team The Randoms from Catholic High School: Cheong Chun Kit and Yeong Yun Lam, with their product “Shower Timer” that controls shower duration and preheats water to save water and money.
Team Aqua Wonders from SMK Convent Green Lane: Shivani Unnamalai and Julia Jasmine, with “Circulon,” an advanced water filter that recycles household wastewater.
Team Hydro Quest from Tanarata International School: Anshul Bangalore Aratish and Hwang Yeseong, with a “Mini Sprinkler” that efficiently waters plants.
The regional finals will see participants from multiple countries, offering a platform for idea exchange and discussions. This year’s challenge focused on creating a market entry strategy for water conservation products in Australia. Since its inception in 2008, the competition has engaged over 9,200 Malaysian students.
