Manila to Host Key ASEAN Energy Expo Starting July 29, Spotlight on Regional Future

July 29–31, 2025 | SMX Convention Center, Manila

Manila, Philippines – Southeast Asia’s renewable energy ambitions will take center stage at the Philippine Solar and Power Expo 2025, set to run from July 29 to 31 at the SMX Convention Center, Manila. Co-located with the Philippine Construction and Ceramics Expo, this large-scale event is expected to draw industry leaders from the solar, power, electric vehicle (EV), and construction sectors across the region.

Organised by Genesis Global Exhibition, Astrovision, and ACE Group, the expo aims to foster collaboration and accelerate Southeast Asia’s energy transition, bringing together stakeholders for three days of exhibitions, expert panels, and high-level discussions.

Building Energy Partnerships Across Asia

The recent pre-event media briefing featured regional thought leaders who underscored the event’s significance for both the Philippines and ASEAN neighbours.

Johnny Chotrani, Chairman of the Philippine-India Business Council, noted the rising potential for India-Philippines energy cooperation:

“This expo highlights the growing bilateral synergy. Our shared commitment to clean energy is the foundation for broader trade and infrastructure collaboration.”

Carmelo Jimson B. Uranza, President of the Society of Philippine Electrotechnical Constructors and Suppliers (SPECS), praised the initiative for its sustainability focus:

“The expo plays a vital role in driving sustainable energy solutions nationwide and across the region.”

Maria Theresa “Tetchi” Cruz Capellan, Chairperson of the Asian Photovoltaic Industry Association and CEO of SunAsia Energy, issued a call to action:

“We are halfway through 2025. There is no time to delay—the clean energy transition must be accelerated now.”

Urban planner Felino “Jun” A. Palafox Jr., Founder of Palafox Associates, connected energy resilience with smart urban planning:

“Our cities need to become more climate-resilient and inclusive. This expo supports smarter and greener infrastructure design.”

From the healthcare perspective, Dr. Luis Ramon V. Rodriguez, President of Karl Group Holding Corp and the Philippine Medical Depot, emphasized the urgency of integrating renewables in hospitals:

“Renewable energy ensures reliable power for life-saving services—particularly in disaster-prone areas.”

What to Expect at the Expo

Attendees can expect a comprehensive program including:

• Cutting-edge exhibits in solar, EV, power generation, and green construction

• Technical presentations and policy roundtables led by global experts

• Networking opportunities with key players from both the public and private sectors
