On March 18, 2025, Marriott International and Ecopia Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at The St. Regis Kuala Lumpur’s Astor Ballroom, initiating a strategic partnership to enhance corporate events and luxury travel experiences in Malaysia and Indonesia. The collaboration aims to combine Marriott’s global hospitality expertise—with over 9,300 properties and 130+ hotels in Malaysia and Indonesia alone—with Ecopia’s leadership in corporate event management to drive innovation, market expansion, and economic growth in the region.
The MoU was signed by Ramesh Jackson, Regional Vice President of Marriott International, and Tan Snow Wie, Group Managing Director of Ecopia Group, with key representatives from both organizations present. This partnership seeks to redefine industry standards, support entrepreneurship, and elevate the travel and events sector, building on Ecopia’s recent regional expansion, including a new office in Singapore, and Marriott’s extensive network and Marriott Bonvoy program with over 228 million members worldwide.
