Maybank Singapore has launched the 2026 edition of its Regional Ramadhan Relief Programme, supporting 2,500 beneficiaries across the city-state. The initiative, introduced in 2013, provides essential groceries to lower-income families and seniors, enabling them to prepare for the holy month with dignity and peace of mind.
This year’s programme is delivered in collaboration with 12 Malay-Muslim Organisations (MMOs) and Grab, scaling up community support through a shared resource model. Jamiyah Singapore and Muhammadiyah premises were activated for rations packing, while PERTAPIS and Wisma Geylang Serai served as distribution centres. Grab mobilised over 150 driver-partners to deliver hampers to more than 900 households, reflecting the strength of collective community action.
The event was graced by Associate Professor Faishal Ibrahim, Acting Minister-in-Charge of Muslim Affairs. Maybank Singapore CEO Alvin Lee emphasised the importance of compassion and purposeful partnerships, while PERTAPIS President Shaharin Nordin highlighted the MMO’s collaborative focus. Grab’s Alejandro Osorio praised driver-partners for their generosity, underscoring the shared commitment to supporting vulnerable families during Ramadhan.
