MYAirline left fleet-less as final aircraft deregistered

MYAirline Sdn Bhd faces fleet-less status as its 10th aircraft is deregistered, requiring two planes to reapply for its licence. Despite suspensions, hope remains with potential Middle East investors, though conditions must be met before resuming operations.

Transport Minister Anthony Loke emphasizes refunds and staff payments as prerequisites. Over 117,000 passengers were affected by the suspension, totaling more than RM22 million.

The airline remains tight-lipped about its future plans due to non-disclosure agreements with investors.

On Feb 2 and Feb 4, a lone Airbus A320 plane with the company’s red and grey livery was spotted parking at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport’s Terminal 2. It is believed that it is the final aircraft which had been recently deregistered. The aircraft registration on the side of the plane could not be seen due to the distance.
