NESCAFÉ Breaks Record with 4,000 Cups Served in an Hour
KUALA LUMPUR, July 28 – NESCAFÉ has set a new benchmark in Malaysia’s growing iced coffee culture by serving nearly 4,000 cups of iced coffee in just one hour at the SCORE Marathon 2026, earning recognition from the Malaysia Book of Records. The feat, equivalent to more than 60 cups per minute, showcased the versatility of NESCAFÉ Espresso Concentrate, a liquid espresso format designed to make café-style iced coffee simple and accessible.
The event transformed the marathon’s finish line into a vibrant festival, complete with live music, dance performances, and a lively social atmosphere. Runners and spectators celebrated friendship and connection while enjoying refreshing iced coffee creations.
Khoo Sui Ying, Consumer Marketing Manager at NESCAFÉ Malaysia, said: “Coffee today is about so much more than just a stimulation boost. For many young Malaysians, it’s become part of how they spend time with friends, discover new experiences and enjoy the moments that matter.”
Zen Thian, SCORE Malaysia’s Business Development & Partnerships Director, added that the collaboration tapped into the natural culture of post-run coffee gatherings, making the record-breaking achievement even more memorable. With over 50,000 runners and spectators present, the partnership highlighted how coffee can unite communities through shared passions.
NESCAFÉ Espresso Concentrate is now available nationwide, empowering consumers to craft café-style iced coffee at home, from classic lattes to customised creations. The innovation reflects NESCAFÉ’s commitment to evolving coffee culture in Malaysia, blending convenience, creativity, and connection.
