Northern Solar Bags Another RM34 Million Large-Scale Solar EPCC Contract

Northern Solar secures a RM34 million EPCC contract, boosting its project pipeline and strengthening revenue visibility ahead.

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 7, 2026 — Northern Solar Holdings Berhad has secured a RM34 million Letter of Award (LOA) for the engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) of a 9.50MW solar photovoltaic (PV) plant.

The contract was accepted by the group’s wholly owned subsidiary, Northern Solar Sdn Bhd, and is scheduled to achieve commercial operation by May 1, 2027. The project is expected to contribute positively to the group’s earnings and net assets per share from the financial year ending March 31, 2027 onwards.

The latest award follows RM119.4 million in Large Scale Solar 5 (LSS5)-related contracts secured in March 2026, bringing the combined value of Northern Solar’s recent utility-scale solar project wins to approximately RM153.4 million.

As at June 30, 2026, the group’s unbilled order book stood at RM189.3 million, providing revenue visibility for upcoming financial periods.

Managing Director Lew Shoong Kai said the latest contract further strengthens Northern Solar’s growing utility-scale solar portfolio and reflects its project delivery capabilities.

He added that recent enhancements to the Corporate Renewable Energy Supply Scheme (CRESS), including PETRA’s CRESS Acceleration Package, could accelerate renewable energy investments and create additional opportunities for established solar EPCC providers moving forward.
