Nurul Izzah Appointed Executive Political Chairperson of SIDEC to Boost Selangor’s Semiconductor Push

Nurul Izzah Anwar, PKR Deputy President and former Permatang Pauh MP, has been appointed Executive Political Chairperson of the Selangor Information Technology and Digital Economy Corporation (SIDEC). Her appointment was announced during SIDEC’s 10th anniversary celebration alongside Foxconn officials. Selangor MB Amirudin Shari said Nurul Izzah will act as a strategic adviser, enhancing communication between companies, the state, and the federal government. She has been active behind the scenes in Malaysia’s semiconductor development over the past year. SIDEC is now focusing on expanding the semiconductor industry, including IC design through the Malaysia Semiconductor IC Design Park in Puchong.
