Peikko Group, a prominent global provider of concrete connections and composite structures, celebrated the official inauguration of its factory in Malaysia on October 18, 2023, marking a significant achievement for both the company and the regional construction industry.
The grand opening event was graced by distinguished guests, including the Ambassador of Finland to Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam, His Excellency Sami Leino, and Commercial Counsellor, Region Head APAC, Embassy of Finland – Pekka Laitinen, who officiated the ceremony. Over 80 key stakeholders, representing customers, suppliers, partners, and authorities, were in attendance, emphasizing Peikko’s strong commitment to the Malaysian market.
The new facilities, spanning approximately 3,000 square meters, are equipped with state-of-the-art machinery and production lines, enabling the company to provide even more precise and professional services to its valued clients. With a strategic location in Johor Bahru and a 10 million Euro investment, Peikko is well-positioned to cater to the dynamic demands of Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, and other Southeast Asian markets.
Topi Paananen, CEO of Peikko Group Corporation, commented, “Opening a new production facility is a logical step forward, as Peikko has had a Sales & Technical Support team in Singapore already for some years. This strategically important location of Johor Bahru is an excellent choice for Peikko when increasing our operations in Malaysia and the broader Asia-Pacific region in the coming years.”
Michal Horak, Vice President of Peikko Asia Pacific, highlighted that Peikko Malaysia would offer precise and professional services, quicker delivery times, and improved access to their cutting-edge solutions, emphasizing the company’s commitment to meeting the evolving demands of the construction industry in Malaysia and the broader Asia-Pacific region.
