PAS MP Ahmad Fadhli Saari raised the issue of Farhash Wafa and his involvement in a company providing technology services. On March 15, Farhash Wafa was announced, in a filing with Bursa Malaysia, as a substantial shareholder in Heitech Padu Bhd with a 15.91% stake.

Not a Political activist now

A filing with Bursa Malaysia showed that Farhash Wafa had acquired 16.1 million shares in the company via Rosetta Partners Sdn Bhd on March 12.

On March 11, MyEG Services Bhd, via its wholly-owned subsidiary MyEG Capital Sdn Bhd, acquired a 14.4% equity interest in Heitech Padu for RM31.25mil cash.

According to Farhash Wafa, his shares in HeiTech Padu Bhd through the company Rosetta Partners Sdn Bhd was jointly owned by Sultan of Kelantan Sultan Muhammad V.

“For the record, Rosetta Partners Sdn Bhd is fully owned by the company Mfivesouthsea Sdn Bhd which is jointly owned by me and His Highness Sultan Muhammad V and not by me as claimed by a few opposition MPs.

“The ownership of these shares is also part of the investment strategy between me and Sultan Muhammad V to help bumiputra companies,” he adds.
