Powering the Future: Malaysia Power & Electricity Expo 2026 to be Held in Kuala Lumpur during February 11 & 12, 2026

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – 15 January 2026

Ace Group and Genesis Global Group, in collaboration with Astrovison FZCO, successfully hosted the media launch of the Malaysia Power & Electricity Expo on Wednesday, 14 January 2026, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The expo is jointly organized with the Malaysian Sub-Contractors Association (MSCA) and will be held in conjunction with SUBCON 2026. The Malaysia Power & Electricity Expo 2026 is scheduled to take place on 11–12 February 2026 at Hall 4, Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC), Kuala Lumpur. The expo is supported by the ASEAN India Economic Council (AIEC) and the Malaysia India Business Council (MIBC), while SUBCON 2026 is organized by the Malaysian Sub-Contractors Association (MSCA).

Industry Vision and Regional Collaboration

Addressing members of the media, Dato’ Ramesh Kodammal, Chairman of Goldtex Group of Companies and Chairman of the ASEAN India Economic Council (AIEC), Malaysia, stated that the Malaysia Power & Electricity Expo 2026 is set to be one of the key industry exhibitions of the year, with a strong focus on power generation, transmission, electrical solutions, energy efficiency, and emerging technologies. The platform, he noted, will also create new avenues for collaboration with Indian and international companies in the power and energy sectors.

Dato’ Ramesh highlighted the long-standing bilateral relationship between Malaysia and India—dating back to India’s independence in 1947 and Malaysia’s independence in 1957—which has grown into a strong and enduring partnership across trade, infrastructure, and energy development. He further stressed that industry players must move beyond conventional approaches and focus on advanced power technologies, smart electrical systems, renewable energy solutions, financial collaboration, and innovative business models. He encouraged participants to explore joint ventures, form strategic partnerships, and adopt forward-looking solutions to drive sustainable growth in the power and electricity industry.

Through this exhibition initiative, Dato’ Ramesh expressed the aim of strengthening while connecting local stakeholders with international associations and businesses. He called on industry players to actively participate on 11–12 February 2026, engage with exhibitors and delegates from India, China, Türkiye, Thailand, Singapore, and other countries, and build stronger regional and global networks. The Malaysia Power & Electricity Expo 2026 is expected to feature more than 60 exhibitors from India, China, Malaysia, the Philippines, Türkiye, Singapore, and other countries over the two-day event.

Strengthening Trust in the Sub-Contractor Ecosystem

Speaking at the launch, Mr. Chandra L. Ramprakash, President of the Malaysian Sub-Contractors Association (MSCA), addressed industry concerns regarding trust and credibility within the sub-contractor ecosystem. He explained that MSCA has introduced a Verified Contractor System, under which members undergo comprehensive assessments, including financial background checks, workforce capability, and operational credibility, before being granted verified status. This initiative, he said, enhances transparency, protects industry stakeholders, and builds confidence among principals, developers, and project owners, particularly within the power and electrical sectors. Mr. Chandra further emphasized that SUBCON 2026, held in conjunction with the Malaysia Power & Electricity Expo, provides a comprehensive platform for sub-contractors, solution providers, manufacturers, and service companies to connect, collaborate, and showcase the innovations from Malaysia, India, Türkiye, Singapore, and other countries.
