KUALA LUMPUR, July 20, 2026 — CIMB Bank Berhad has launched CIMB Private Wealth, a new wealth management segment aimed at becoming the preferred financial partner for affluent individuals across ASEAN.
The new offering combines institutional-grade financial solutions with personalised advisory services, curated investment strategies, lending and protection products, as well as legacy and wealth preservation planning. It is designed to support high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs and business owners with increasingly sophisticated and cross-border financial needs.
The initiative aligns with CIMB Group’s Forward30 strategy, reflecting the bank’s ambition to deliver higher-value wealth solutions as ASEAN’s affluent population continues to expand.
Group Consumer Banking Chief Executive Officer Haniz Nazlan said the region is undergoing a significant transformation in wealth creation, protection and intergenerational transfer, driving demand for trusted financial partners capable of providing comprehensive, long-term advisory services.
He said CIMB Private Wealth will leverage the bank’s regional presence and integrated commercial and wholesale banking ecosystem to help clients grow, preserve and transfer wealth while accessing opportunities across ASEAN.
ASEAN’s economy is now valued at approximately US$4 trillion, with the affluent population expected to grow between five and six per cent annually. The region’s expanding middle class and increasing cross-border investments are creating new opportunities for wealth management providers, positioning CIMB to strengthen its leadership in the regional private banking market.
