Sapura Energy appoints Ganesh Gunaratnam as new CFO effective June 1

Ganesh brings over 25 years of experience to Sapura Energy, having previously served as a director for PwC Malaysia’s business restructuring services division.

Sapura Energy Bhd has announced the appointment of Ganesh Gunaratnam as its new chief financial officer (CFO), effective June 1, 2024.

Ganesh, 47, will succeed Chew Seng Heng, 58, who will step down from the CFO position on May 31, 2024, but will remain with Sapura Energy to oversee the completion of the group’s restructuring.

Ganesh brings over 25 years of experience, having previously served as a director for PwC Malaysia’s business restructuring services division.

According to the company, Ganesh’s expertise will be instrumental in navigating the company’s financial landscape. As they stated, “Ganesh is a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).”
