SAS Hackathon Empowers AI Innovation and Problem-Solving

KUALA LUMPUR (August 27, 2024) – The SAS Hackathon, a monthlong digital competition, invites global teams to tackle significant business and humanitarian challenges using AI and advanced analytics. Starting September 16, participants will utilize SAS technologies like SAS Viya, SAS Data Maker, and SAS Viya Copilot to develop impactful solutions. Registration is open until August 30.

Last year’s winners, Team JaWaRA from Jakarta, developed a system for flood prediction and management, showcasing the Hackathon’s potential for real-world impact. Other notable projects included a visual dashboard for forced labor monitoring, a disaster response model, and a carbon-footprint tracker integrated with banking transactions.

With over 1,400 registrants from 69 countries last year, the Hackathon spans various industries including banking, healthcare, and energy, with new tracks for students.
