Selangor Rails Ahead with New Industry Hub

Selangor launches rail and automotive hubs to localise manufacturing, attract major investors, expand supply chains, and cut dependence on foreign technology.

Selangor will build a Rail Industry Hub in Hulu Selangor to localise train-component manufacturing and reduce reliance on foreign technology. The plan includes partnerships with rail operators and academia.

The state also targets an Automotive Valley in Serendah and Lembah Beringin following Chery’s RM2.2 billion investment. Output could reach 300,000 vehicles a year. Proximity to Proton, Perodua, and Nissan supports full supply-chain growth.
