Skyworth PV Pushes Residential Solar Expansion in Vietnam With SUN Mate Home Solar 2.0
Vietnam’s push toward wider clean energy use gained momentum as Skyworth Photovoltaic Technology launched its SUN Mate Home Solar 2.0 system in Ho Chi Minh City. The announcement followed a seminar on renewable energy and battery storage, where over 100 industry participants discussed next-generation technologies and investment strategies. Skyworth PV’s distributor Shen Lu outlined Vietnam’s strong solar potential, citing more than 2,000 hours of annual sunlight, but noted that household adoption remains limited compared with industrial and commercial systems.
SUN Mate Home Solar 2.0 aims to change that landscape by simplifying residential solar deployment. The system removes the need for design work, construction, or structural modification, allowing households to adopt solar power as easily as installing a common appliance. Real-time monitoring through Skyworth’s cloud platform supports users in tracking generation and reducing grid dependence.
Three product configurations have been introduced to match Vietnamese housing conditions. The Balcony Model suits urban apartments, the Awning Model supports shopfronts and owner-built homes, and the Ground Model offers portable solar suitable for yards or campsites. Each variant is engineered to withstand local weather patterns and optimise energy capture through adjustable angles.
The initiative positions residential solar as a mainstream option for Vietnamese households, supporting the nation’s wider clean-energy transition.
