Solarvest & A1Health Expand Renewable Energy Adoption in Malaysian Healthcare
Solarvest Holdings Berhad has partnered with Asia OneHealthcare (A1Health) to accelerate renewable energy adoption in Malaysia’s healthcare sector. Building on successful solar PV installations in 10 Columbia Asia hospitals, Solarvest will now equip four more A1Health hospitals—Ara Damansara, Bukit Tinggi, ParkCity, and Subang Jaya—with solar power.
The additional 611 kWp installation will generate 800,000 kWh of clean energy annually, reducing carbon emissions by 3,200 tonnes and saving RM2.7 million in electricity costs. A1Health’s cumulative solar PV capacity now exceeds 5,000,000 kWp, reinforcing its sustainability commitment.
Solarvest CEO Davis Chong highlighted that hospitals consume 2-3 times more electricity than commercial buildings, making energy efficiency vital. A1Health’s Mandy Phang emphasized the collaboration’s role in reducing carbon emissions and enhancing long-term cost efficiencies.
This initiative supports Malaysia’s goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050 while promoting sustainability in the healthcare industry.
