KUALA LUMPUR: Solarvest Holdings Berhad and Malakoff Corporation Berhad’s consortium, through Malakoff Silver Solar Sdn Bhd (MSSSB), has signed a 21-year Power Purchase Agreement with Tenaga Nasional Berhad for Malaysia’s largest 470MWac large-scale solar photovoltaic project under the LSS PETRA 5+ Programme.
Located at Windsor Estate in Larut and Matang, Perak, the facility will be designed, constructed, owned, operated, and maintained by MSSSB, with commercial operations targeted for Q1 2028. MSSSB is jointly owned by Solarvest (20%) and Malakoff (80%).
Solarvest’s Group CEO Dato’ Davis Chong highlighted the milestone as key to expanding recurring income and advancing Malaysia’s renewable energy goals under the National Energy Transition Roadmap, enhancing energy security and sustainability.
