Sunview Seen Stable but Constrained by Funding Needs

Ambank initiated coverage on Sunview Group with a HOLD call and a target price of RM0.40, stating that the stock’s discount to peers reflects its financial limits and weaker profitability. The bank expects Sunview’s revenue to grow 8% by FY27, driven mainly by Large-Scale Solar projects.

To execute its LSS5+ project, Sunview may need about RM120 million in borrowings under an 80:20 debt-equity structure. Ambank projects the company’s net gearing to increase from 62.2% in FY25 to 80% in FY27. It said the funding burden caps upside despite steady project visibility.
