MACC Questions Tan Sri Over Klang Valley Highway Sukuk Fund Embezzlement

KUALA LUMPUR, June 11, 2025 – The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) today interviewed an individual with the “Tan Sri” title at his Kuala Lumpur residence regarding the alleged embezzlement of sukuk funds for a Klang Valley highway project. Sources confirmed two MACC officers conducted the session, following the Tan Sri’s recent hospital discharge. Additionally, MACC raided his Malacca residence but made no seizures. Yesterday, reports indicated MACC’s intent to question him. Previously, MACC seized RM32 million in assets, including luxury vehicles, handbags, jewellery, watches, cash, and a high-end residence, linked to a highway concessionaire.
