Port of Tanjung Pelepas Successfully Completes First LNG Bunkering Operation

Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP), a joint venture between MMC Group and APM Terminals, has achieved a significant milestone by completing its first Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) bunkering operation. This operation involved the CMA CGM Monaco, a containership operated by CMA CGM.

Mark Hardiman, CEO of PTP, emphasized the successful collaboration with PETCO and CMA CGM, as well as various government agencies, in ensuring the safety and success of the bunkering operation.

PTP, Malaysia’s largest transshipment hub, aims to contribute to maritime decarbonization through such initiatives.
