UST D3CODE Hackathon Expands Globally

PENANG, Malaysia, Sept. 16, 2024 : UST has launched the fourth edition of its D3CODE Hackathon, marking its 25th anniversary. The 2024 event will see competitors from six countries—US, UK, Spain, Mexico, Malaysia, and India—competing in a global finale.

Participants will tackle real-world issues with scalable tech solutions, focusing on social impact themes like education and sustainability.

Key Details:

Registration: Open on HackerEarth.

Prize Money: Regional winners receive $5,000 each; the global winner gets $10,000.

Competition Structure: Includes regional rounds and a final virtual global hackathon.

Global Finale: Features a virtual presentation by the winning teams from each country.

Additional Opportunities: The winning solution may receive incubation support and seed funding from UST.

Niranjan Ramsunder, UST’s CTO, emphasized the theme “Scale” to address scalable, impactful tech solutions. The final global winner will present at UST’s D3 event in Kerala, India.
