A Vietnamese graduate launched a company in Guizhou after completing her master’s degree, highlighting growing China-ASEAN educational cooperation, entrepreneurship, and expanding cross-border trade opportunities for young professionals.
Vietnamese Entrepreneur Bridges Markets
A Vietnamese graduate has turned years of academic study into a business venture, underscoring the growing opportunities created through China-ASEAN educational cooperation.
Just weeks after completing her master’s degree at Guizhou Normal University, Tran Le Huong Giang established a company in Guiyang’s Guian New Area. The business offers international trade services, translation, and Mandarin language training, responding to rising demand for Chinese language skills and stronger commercial ties between China and Vietnam.
Tran said her company has already secured clients, with a delegation of Vietnamese businesses expected to visit Guizhou to explore partnerships in lithium batteries and artificial intelligence. Having spent eight years studying in the province, she decided to remain in China to expand cross-border business opportunities.
She is among a growing number of ASEAN graduates choosing entrepreneurship in Guizhou. Lao graduate Cai Hong recently launched a company promoting trade between China and Laos by exporting Guizhou products while introducing Laotian coffee and durian to the Chinese market.
Their ventures have been supported by the China-Guiyang Guian International Talent Entrepreneurship Park, which provides registration assistance, licensing support, office space, and operational guidance. The initiative reflects strengthening China-ASEAN economic and educational ties while encouraging young entrepreneurs to drive regional cooperation and innovation together.
