Malaysia-China Summit: Strengthening Trade and Cultural Ties

The Malaysia-China Summit (MCS) 2024, held from December 17-19 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), featured the China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO), showcasing the dynamic trade and cultural ties between Malaysia and China. The event attracted 16,000 trade visitors and 500 exhibitors from China, Malaysia, and ASEAN, marking the 50th anniversary of China-Malaysia relations under the theme “Prosperity Beyond 50.”

Exhibitors from various industries, including food, green innovation, digital technology, and culture, connected with numerous prospective clients, generating significant leads and fostering business collaborations.

Malaysia-China Summit

The event also highlighted cultural exchanges, with performances by the China Conservatory of Music, and the unveiling of a commemorative badge featuring mascots He He and Mei Mei in Malay costumes. Malaysian dignitaries, including Transport Minister Anthony Loke and Economy Minister Rafizi Ramli, lauded the long-standing partnership between Malaysia and China, emphasizing shared aspirations for growth and innovation.
