This vision led to the implementation of Back-End Automation and Material Movement (BEAMM) technology, resulting in a 20% boost in daily productivity.

They employed various state-of-the-art automation elements like autonomous mobile vehicles (AMV), collaborative robots (Cobots), vision systems with Machine Learning (ML), and automated conveyors and SCARA robots.

Alongside these, a specialized command center was set up to oversee operations, enhancing monitoring capabilities and equipment efficiency.

This innovation not only advanced technological frontiers but also provided valuable learning opportunities for engineers across multiple domains. By leveraging BEAMM and the TPE command center, Western Digital emerges as a pioneer in the industry, showcasing their commitment to engineering excellence and pushing the limits of technological innovation.
