On June 11, 2025, the first Airbus A400M military transport aircraft for the Indonesian Air Force was rolled out of the paintshop at the Final Assembly Line in Seville, Spain, marking a key milestone. The aircraft is now undergoing ground testing before its first flight and delivery later in 2025. The second A400M for Indonesia has achieved its first power-on and is progressing with hydraulic and pilot simulation tests. Ordered in 2021, these aircraft will enhance Indonesia’s airlift capabilities for strategic, tactical, medical, humanitarian, and refueling missions. With a 37-tonne payload and 2,400-nautical-mile range, the A400M can operate from short or unprepared airstrips, supporting disaster relief and military operations.
