60 Sunreef Power Eco catamaran
Formula 1 legend Fernando Alonso shared his initial impressions after cruising on his newly delivered electric 60 Sunreef Power Eco catamaran. The Spanish racing champion was highly involved in the customization process of his luxury catamaran and chose Sunreef Yachts due to the blend of luxury and sustainability it offered.
The 60 Sunreef Power Eco features a unique solar power system that provides a continuous supply of clean power for a silent and eco-friendly motoring experience. According to Alonso, this technology is exceptional and unmatched.
Alonso recently enjoyed a yachting holiday with friends and family aboard his custom catamaran. The vessel is equipped with electric propulsion, an energy-efficient air-conditioning system, and a custom-engineered battery bank. It offers a serene, eco-friendly yachting experience, characterized by peace, fresh air, and a focus on enjoying the environment.
Fernando Alonso became a part of Sunreef Yachts’ family of ambassadors, which includes superstar athlete Rafael Nadal, sustainability entrepreneur Nico Rosberg, and professional explorer Mike Horn.
He commissioned his electric catamaran with Sunreef Yachts in 2021, choosing the shipyard for its combination of luxury and sustainability. For Alonso, the catamaran provides a peaceful escape from his fast-paced life, allowing him to travel in silence and without emissions, in stark contrast to the world of Formula 1 racing.
