Barron Trump tipped for senior TikTok role after president claims users ‘owe’ him for saving app
WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump’s 19-year-old son, Barron Trump, is reportedly being considered for a senior role at TikTok, according to the president’s former social media manager, Jack Advent. The speculation follows Trump’s recent claim that TikTok users “owe” him for saving the platform from being banned in the United States.
Advent, known as “TikTok Jack,” told the Daily Mail that Barron’s involvement could help the platform appeal more to younger audiences. “Young people are overwhelmingly the user base of TikTok. I’m hopeful President Trump will consider appointing his son Barron and other young Americans to the board,” Advent said.
Barron, currently studying at New York University’s Washington DC campus, has not commented on the claims. His mother, First Lady Melania Trump, previously said Barron played a key role in his father’s 2024 campaign victory.
Trump’s renewed relationship with TikTok marks a reversal from his earlier efforts to ban the app, citing national security concerns. A new executive order now allows U.S. investors—led by Oracle’s Larry Ellison—to control 65 percent of the platform’s American operations.
