Berjaya Food Berhad (BFood), via its subsidiary Berjaya Food International, will open Iceland’s first two Starbucks retail stores in Reykjavik in May 2025, under a license from Starbucks Coffee Company. This marks the first entry of a Malaysian public-listed food and beverage company into Iceland’s coffee market. The first store will be on Reykjavik’s main shopping street, with the second in the new harbour district, a hub for food, shopping, and culture.
BFood aims to deliver the iconic Starbucks Experience with Malaysian hospitality, create jobs, and source locally. The expansion strengthens BFood’s 26-year partnership with Starbucks and enhances Starbucks’ presence in the Nordic region.
