BMW Malaysia Premieres the First-Ever BMW XM

BMW Malaysia has premiered the First-Ever BMW XM, the company’s first high-performance Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) with electrified drive from BMW M GmbH. Set to arrive in Malaysia in June 2023, the BMW XM boasts a seamless M HYBRID drive system and model-specific M suspension technology, offering an unparalleled driving experience. The XM began series production at the US BMW Group Spartanburg plant in December 2022.

The BMW XM represents a new era for BMW M GmbH, showcasing exceptional specifications, material quality, and workmanship. It combines the design language of BMW X models with an extroverted and elegant appearance, highlighting its superior performance as a BMW M model.

Inside, the XM features carbon fibre interior trim finishers, the BMW Curved Display, M Leather Steering Wheel, M Seat Belts, and M Multifunctional Seats. Vintage leather and Walknappa leather enhance the luxurious feel of the cabin. The M Lounge rear seating area provides first-class comfort with sophisticated upholstery and an Alcantara headliner.

It achieves a 0-100 km/h sprint in just 4.3 seconds and has a top speed of 250 km/h (270 km/h with the M Driver’s package). The XM also features an all-electric range of up to 88 kilometers.

Driving dynamics are supported by the M xDrive all-wheel drive system, Adaptive M Suspension Professional, and Integral Active Steering. The XM’s low center of gravity and advanced control systems contribute to its supremely dynamic handling.

The high-voltage battery enables charging at up to 7.4 kW at an AC charging station, with a complete charge from 0% to 100% taking 4 hours and 15 minutes. The BMW XM comes equipped with BMW Live Cockpit Professional, a 12.3-inch Information Display, a 14.9-inch Control Display, and the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant.

Additional Digital Features

Additional digital features include BMW ID, BMW Gesture Control, Connected Package Professional I, Intelligent Emergency Call, Teleservices, Connected Drive Services, and Smartphone Integration (Apple CarPlay/ Android Auto). Comfort Access, Driving Assistant Professional, and Parking Assistant Plus are also standard.
