Bursa Malaysia rebounds as buying interest returns to market

Bursa Malaysia rebounded during midday trading on March 5 after renewed buying interest lifted the benchmark index. The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI gained more than 11 points, reflecting improved sentiment among investors after earlier cautious trading in the market.

Market participants noted that bargain hunting in selected blue-chip stocks helped drive the recovery, with investors taking advantage of earlier price weakness. The rebound signalled stronger confidence despite ongoing global uncertainties. 

Analysts said the local market could remain volatile due to external economic developments, but steady domestic demand and institutional support may continue to provide a cushion for equities moving forward.
