AirAsia has strengthened its position in global aviation sustainability rankings after being placed among the top five airlines worldwide in a benchmarked sustainability performance assessment. The achievement highlights the airline’s growing commitment to environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiatives.
The ranking reflects the airline’s progress in reducing emissions, improving operational efficiency and expanding sustainability reporting across its operations. Industry benchmarks increasingly measure how airlines manage environmental impact and responsible business practices.
AirAsia said the recognition reinforces its strategy to align growth with sustainability goals as the aviation sector faces increasing pressure to lower carbon emissions while expanding travel demand.
