With Donald Trump’s trade war, everything is now possible. The big question we have is whether China will try to reshape BRICS into a more hardline anti-Western bloc, or will it keep things flexible to keep India and others on board?
China has historically avoided direct confrontation, preferring to expand its influence through economic and diplomatic means rather than outright conflict. But with Trump potentially undermining the WTO and the UN, China may see BRICS as a tool to reshape global governance in its favor.
