FedEx EV Delivery
FedEx Express Malaysia has embarked on a groundbreaking journey, pioneering its first cross-border electric vehicle (EV) delivery trial from Malaysia to Singapore.
This initiative aligns with FedEx’s commitment to achieving carbon-neutral operations globally by 2040. The trial, utilizing a ‘Maxus eDeliver 7’, spans 406 kilometers from Shah Alam to Changi Airport, significantly reducing tailpipe CO2 emissions by approximately 100 kilograms compared to diesel-powered vans.
Kawal Preet, President of FedEx Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa, emphasizes the strategic importance of this trial in advancing the company’s fleet electrification program, meeting customer demand for sustainable logistics.
Tien Long Woon, Managing Director of FedEx Express Malaysia, underscores the significance of this endeavor in redefining industry standards, emphasizing FedEx’s dedication to innovation and sustainability.
This initiative, coupled with the launch of FedEx® Sustainability Insights, empowers customers to make informed decisions towards reducing environmental impact.
