MARANELLO – Ferrari has revealed details of its first fully electric supercar, the Elettrica, set to launch in 2026. The four-seat coupe will deliver over 1,000 horsepower, a range of 530 kilometres, and reach 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds, with a top speed of 310 km/h. Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna described the Elettrica as an addition, not a transition, to the brand’s portfolio, aimed at wealthy customers seeking an electric yet authentic Ferrari experience.
Built on a recycled aluminium chassis with four motors, the car will retain Ferrari’s signature paddle-shift controls and offer simulated engine sounds to enhance driving feel. The brand developed key technologies, including the integrated battery pack, entirely in-house to maintain competitiveness. Analysts expect pricing near Ferrari’s €500,000 (RM2.5 million) Purosangue SUV. The Elettrica underscores Ferrari’s cautious but bold entry into the electric era while protecting its strong profit margins. Photo: IG/Topgearmagindia
