In Kuala Lumpur, a former Petronas manager, aged 40, pleaded not guilty in the Sessions Court on April 19 to attempting to disclose confidential information about the oil company’s operations and financial performance.
Charged under Section 203A (1) and Section 511 of the Penal Code, he allegedly tried sharing a document titled “Q1 2024 Upstream Business Performance Operational & Financial” with Sarawak Petroleum Company at a condominium on June 8 last year.
Facing a potential RM1 million fine or one-year imprisonment, he was granted RM20,000 bail and ordered to surrender his passport. The case is set for mention on May 19.
